Pete Shelley (The Buzzcocks) died aged 63. He was an English singer, songwriter and guitarist who formed the Buzzcocks with Howard Devoto in 1976, and was the lead singer and guitarist from 1977 when Devoto left. The Buzzcocks released the classic “Ever Fallen in Love (With Someone You Shouldn’t’ve)” in 1978. They broke up in 1981, and reformed in 1989.
Otis Rush Jr. (April 29, 1935 – September 29, 2018) was an American blues guitarist and singer-songwriter. His distinctive guitar style featured a slow-burning sound and long bent notes. With qualities similar to the styles of other 1950s artists Magic Sam and Buddy Guy, his sound became known as West Side Chicago blues and was an influence on many musicians, including Michael Bloomfield, Peter Green and Eric Clapton. Edwards was born in Fairfield, Alabama, which is about eight miles from Birmingham. His father was Reverend Dennis Edwards Sr and young Dennis started singing in his father’s church at just two years old. Dolores Mary Eileen O’Riordan (September 6, 1971 – January 15, 2018) was an Irish singer, songwriter, musician and lead singer with The Cranberries. Dolores O’Riordan was born on September 6, 1971 in Ballybricken, County Limerick, and was the youngest of nine children, two of which sadly died in infancy.
